Specialty’s Café

Bakery & Cafe

Located in the bustling One World Trade Center complex of Long Beach, Specialty’s Café & Bakery, which is a well-known corporate chain throughout California, specializes in gourmet sandwiches and baked goods.

This Class A high-rise project involved a complete ground-floor build out including a kitchen, a large customer service station and dining areas. Highlighted features included a new exterior store front framing and glazing system, a stone façade, food service equipment, epoxy floors, exotic / custom tile, and unique wood millwork finishes leaving this desirable space as the community’s go-to breakfast & lunch spot.

Delivered from raw shell conditions, this 3,500 sf build had some unique challenges, as we had to tie into an existing grease interceptor line, add a new 600-amp electrical service, and a new kitchen exhaust routing to an indirect accessible part of the roof. Meeting the needs of the operator, while incorporating precise infrastructure, took extreme planning and coordination by all stakeholders.
