Westgate Hotel
Dating back to 1970, Westgate Hotel is one of San Diego’s most iconic properties, so its renovations came with high expectations as well as construction challenges. Tasked with adding a 20,000 square foot rooftop pool and deck equipped with multiple amenities, J&J first had to upgrade the underground garage and supporting structures with extensive concrete reinforcements.
Aside from functional build outs, including a new elevator and all new mechanical and electrical systems throughout, newly installed amenities included a large pool, spa, outdoor track and three open exercise areas along with aesthetic upgrades and additions such as a living wall, retail modernization and new landscaping.
